Safety Requirement: For the safety of all participants, helmets are required for anyone riding a bike in the parade.
Rules & Information
- All participants are to meet at the large Pavilion (Pavilion 3) at the Pleasanton River park no later than 3:20 PM for lineup, the bike parade will be starting at 3:30 PM
- Parade route will start in front of the pavilion and continue down the sidewalk to the Softball Complex
- Parents are encouraged to walk on the sideline if their child needs assistance
- This is not a race- Participants are to pedal at a slow, steady pace for the safety of all involved
- Judges will score in three categories: Theme, Creativity, and Originality
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be awarded to the winners
Permission and release
I, as the parent or legal guardian of the participating child, give permission for my child to participate in the Merry on Main Bike Parade using a bicycle, tricycle, or wagon.
I acknowledge that participation in the event involves inherent risks, including the possibility of injury. I voluntarily assume responsibility for allowing my child to participate and agree, to the extent permitted by law, to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the City of Pleasanton, its officials, employees, volunteers, and event representatives from claims, damages, or liabilities arising from my child’s participation in the event, except to the extent caused by conduct that cannot legally be waived or released.
I confirm that I have read and understand the event rules, regulations, and safety requirements, and I voluntarily give my permission for my child to participate.
